Job Description

1. The key objective of this role is to bring enhancement & improving effectiveness of quality management system including supplier quality assurance, new product development quality assurance, field return improvement actions at supplier, in particular but not limiting to TV quality. This role would enable reduction of product warranty cost, align to company goal of reducing warranty cost by 25%.
2. Improve and execute supplier quality management system & processes to ensure supplier quality meet agreed standard. Oversee supplier production KPI & OQA, monitor IQC & field performance to drive supplier for continuous improvement in a proactive manner.
3. Perform supplier audit to qualify new supplier. Perform regular supplier audit to ensure supplier production & quality system is robust and compliance to the agreed standard. Review and improve supplier quality system effectiveness.
4. Monitor all supplier quality issues & tracking in company quality system, followup RMA & complete CAPA with supplier on timely manner.
5. Monitor product reliability test execution at supplier site, improve data accuracy & resolution. Perform trouble shooting together with supplier & engineering team proactively when there is issue arise.
6. Support testing team to run NPI product test during teams’ tight resources period.
7. Provide a backup communication path between Supply Chain and the suppliers in China if and when our buyer is not available to do so.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Quality or Industrial Engineering or equivalent Experience:
• 5-7 years in electronics manufacturing environment, min 3 years in quality management.
• Solid experience with supplier audit & supplier quality management is a must.
• Experience with battery manufacturing quality management is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, control chart, process capability, Pareto, cause & effect analysis) & hands-on application is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with Minitab is preferred but not a must
• Knowhow of quality system. ISO9001, TS16949 is required
• Experience with PCBA & assembly is required
• Critical & logical thinking, attention to details
• Good command of written & spoken English & Mandarin
• Flexible to travel frequently within China (70% Dongguan, 30% others within China). This position expect around 50% time with travelling with either day trip or occasionally overnight stay depends on supplier’s location.
