JOB OVERVIEW

纺织测试 - 占80% 

Supports and provides assistance to the company manager responsible for the Corporate Compliance (Product Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility) programs across corporate brands.  Acts as the local liaison to suppliers for product compliance, social compliance audits and corrective action corroboration.  Works with Program Management, Quality and Sourcing to support product compliance needs. Conducts periodic visits to suppliers and informs the Senior Asia Compliance Specialist and Senior Manager of EH&S of any concerns or liabilities that could affect the quality of Company product, unauthorized release of product, or the Company’s brand reputation. Teams with engineering, quality, sourcing and program management to support Company product development and launches. Educates and trains Company and supplier staff on compliance initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Senior Manager of EH&S & Product Compliance in the following:

Supports product compliance initiatives, including but not limited to:

o   Educating suppliers on RSL, physical and chemical management requirements and best practices.

o   Reviewing supplier RSL programs to ensure Reasonable Testing Programs have been implemented.

o   Benchmarking suppliers, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers, against best practices.

o   Building a strong relationship across Callaway’s brands with the sourcing, engineering, quality and program management teams to support the compliant development of new product and maintain compliance of existing product.

o   Training Callaway staff and key suppliers on RSL and physical testing expectations.

o   Supporting RSL and physical testing as a liaison between the supplier and laboratory, establishing test plans and selecting samples from the supplier.

o   Knowledgeable in customer product compliance requirements (i.e. Costco, DSG, Decathlon).

o   Knowledgeable in RSL rules and regulations, such as REACH, POP, Prop 65, CPSIA, CPS and China GB standards.

o   Knowledgeable in regional and industry standards and best practices, such as OekoTex, Bluesign, and AATCC standards.


Supports the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, in the following:

o   Conducting internal Social Responsibility Audits as directed by corporate management.

o   Assisting contracted auditing firms with Social Responsibility audits, as directed by corporate management.

o   Conducting visits to supplier facilities to confirm that Corrective Action Plan (CAP) requirements have been implemented satisfactorily.

o   Notifying suppliers regarding delinquent replies to CAP compliance requests; conducts personal visits to supplier facilities and meets with the supplier management team to encourage and insure CAP compliance.

o   Informing the Sr. Manager of EH&S of any concerns or issues involving a supplier’s mistreatment of employees and/or unsatisfactory environmental conditions that could adversely affect the quality of product or Callaway’s professional reputation.

o   Supporting on boarding of new suppliers, to include validation of supplier on-boarding documents and conducting site visits.  


Provides Environmental and Safety oversight to supplier operations.

o   Periodically audits suppliers to ensure good EH&S practices are in use to protect worker health, safety and the environment.

o   Educates suppliers on good EH&S practices, including proper use of PPE, engineering controls ergonomics and industrial hygiene.

o   Promotes fire safety and monitors recommendations identified in insurance audits.

o   Reports life safety issues to Callaway management.

o   Ensures proper handling and permitting of hazardous materials and hazardous waste/emissions.

o   Identifying conflicts with international building code, electrical code, and fire code.

  

Promotes and reports sustainable work practices.

o   Identifies opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.

o   Promotes waste minimization/recycling.

o   Tracks and reports sustainable metrics.


Provides regular communication with the managers of EH&S and Sr. Asia Compliance Specialist in terms of weekly activity, projects status, travel requirements, reviews of planned and/or unforeseen costs, and opportunities and risks that could impact the company.


Collaborates with and assists the EH&S department Brand partners in the implementation and execution of projects identified and required by the business. 


Special Projects as assigned.


AUTHORITY TO ACT

  • Individual acts under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, EH&S and Product Compliance, and dotted-line status to the Supervisor, . Asia Compliance . Individual is expected to work independently. Work is periodically reviewed for timely completion, compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements and adequacy to meet departmental and company objectives set forth by the Supervisor, Asia Compliance or as assigned by management.
  • Individual will have a dotted-line status with assignment supporting various brands and departments. This includes supporting sourcing, apparel and softgoods projects assigned by the Director of Sourcing and Apparel, TravisMathew Director of R&D, or other projects assigned by management, and approved by the Corporate Product Compliance manager, or as determined by the Sr. Director of Facilities and/or Sr. Manager of EH&S and Product Compliance.
  • In the event a company policy is being violated that does not constitute an emergency, the Compliance Specialist shall notify management of the violation and advise employees of requirements.

  • Authorized to develop policy for assigned projects with the review and approval of the Sr. Manager EH&S.

  

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Expertise in standard desktop applications, especially those used in the development of presentations, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Written and verbal proficiency in the English language.

  • Highly organized, and self-motivated, with strong multi-tasking ability.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels throughout the organization. 

  • Analytical abilities sufficient to handle most problem-solving functions.

  • Ability to adapt in an evolving environment and openness to continuous improvements. 

  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities. 

  • Product Compliance, Social Compliance, and/or Security experience is a plus.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree; engineering preferred, includes classwork in general and organic chemistry.

  

  • CSR and product compliance experience in the apparel, footwear and/or softgoods industry are a strong plus.

  

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a preference towards compliance-related work in the sporting goods, apparel, or footwear industries.

  

  • Knowledge of audit protocols, such as WRAP, SEDEX, SA-8000, and C-TPAT, is a strong plus.

  

  • Knowledge of product compliance standards such as AAFA RSL, AFIRM, Bluesign, OekoTex, REACH, Prop 65 and GB standards is a strong plus.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIROMENTS (if applicable)

  

  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.

  

  • Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.

  

  • Work is performed at supplier factories and other industrial environments.

  

  •   Will be required to travel to supplier and Company locations, both domestically and internationally.
