• Develop and manage material group strategy.
• Understand complete material group value chain, maintain and implement continuous value chain improvements (total cost reductions) aligned with lean initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationship, resolve supplier issues of assigned material groups.
• Manage daily vendor non-conformity resolution, on delivery and quality with cross functional teams
• Monitor supplier performance monthly in Supply Chain Review and improve supplier performance continuously
• Responsible for supplier's corrective action resulting from negative supplier performance trends. Determine root cause for improvements/negative trends and develop and implement solutions.
• Support RFQ for new product development projects and special projects when necessary.
• Make supplier selection decision by comprehensive TCO analysis
• Procurement representative (single point of contact) for transversal project teams (new product development, product placement, plant improvement projects, regional/global projects, etc.).
• Continuously improve supply base through supplier consolidation and material group strategy
