Position Summary

Negotiating product cost in support of brand product margins requirements.

 Responsibility:

• Provide timely, fact-based, accurate cost information to headquarter according to the seasonal calendar.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering team, PLM team and factory for PLM BOM implementation.
• Proactively identify and capitalize on cost savings opportunities, and ensure price/value optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Engineer team, Materials and other key functions within the LO and respective factories to ensure that products are developed to cost targets.
• Execute standard costing processes of defined product ranges.

• Lead the product specific negotiation with T1/T2 suppliers for process costs such as HF, Heat Emboss, Welting, Embroidery, laser, Printing, yield interlocking, loss allowance etc.

• Yield verification and handling surcharge negotiation with T1 supplier, and capture the cost saving seasonally.

• Support Costing Manager in collecting relevant data of selected products for projects as well as participating as a project member in the project.

• Seasonal FOB matrix update and maintain.

• Excess material price checking.

 

Required Education and Competencies:

• University or College degree
  
• 5 years of footwear costing working experience is preferred
• Strong price negotiation skills.

• Strong sense of integrity.

• IT-skills (e-mail, MS Office, Excel, Access a benefit).

• Good verbal and written communication skills in a global business setting.

• Mother langue in Chinese, Fluent in English
