Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the AP TPS QA manager, lead the Quality Assurance process of product development for Third Party Sourced (TPS) items in AP. 

Assure consistent TPS new product quality by ensuring of the readiness of the supplier vs the Tupperware requirements, participating to the product development process, performing product measurement, testing through the development of the product and ensuring that the appropriate production and control processes are in place. 

The person may also be involved in Quality Improvement Program (QIP) by leading product improvement at suppliers. 

The role reports to the AP TPS QA manager. The position is based in the China plant (Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou).

Specific Accountabilities:

1. Ensure of the readiness of the supplier vs the Tupperware requirements

- By proactively working with the supplier (explaining the quality agreement, training on TW requirements and standards, reviewing with him his process…) ensure that the supplier will be able to successfully develop new products.

2. Participate to the product development process

- Work with his Quality counterparts, identify the product requirements if the product is for another area

- By working with Product development (in Belgium or China), with QA counterparts and the supplier, review the product requirement, identify proactively the Quality risks and propose ways to mitigate those risks. 

- Define the new product testing plan together with product engineer and the application lab.

3. Performing product measurement, testing through the development of the product

- Execute the testing plan and through measurement and testing, ensure long term conformity of TPS new products to Worldwide Quality Standards.

4. Ensuring that the appropriate production and control processes are in place

- Ensure appropriate process and procedures are followed at Third Parties to meet the product quality standards

- May participate in the complaint resolution together with Quality counterparts as well as at the supplier.

- Work with the supplier to address product shortcoming, analyze the issues and participate to Quality Improvement Programs (QIPs) resolution. 

- As part of the product update process, validate the suitability of new raw materials and colors versus Tupperware standards.

- If required, work together with TPS production to solve quality issues on a daily basis and assist the TPS Quality Assurance staffs in resolving deviations and complaints.

5. Quality Systems and Audits

- As part of the qualification process as well as part of the regular audit process, perform TPS supplier quality audits and assess their compliance with the Worldwide Quality Standards and Procedures.

- Enforce policies and procedures in the plant and Third Parties.

6. Organization Development

- Keep abreast of and evaluate new trends in quality management.

Education and Experience:

- Related bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or Technology

- 3~5+ years of related global industrial (FMCG, Automotive, plastic, chemicals, metal …) experience in Quality Assurance

- Product Development, Measuring, Testing, Analyzing Information, Prioritizing & Planning, Quality Engineering, Project Management, Statistical Process / Quality Control

- Control processes and practices, continuous improvement, Lean or 6 Sigma a plus

- Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to interact with many different stakeholders (suppliers in China and in other AP locations, other Quality counterparts, product development engineer, …)

- Fluent written and verbal English

- Able to global travel
