Job Title: Global Commodity Engineer

Our Global Supply Chain operates as a unified virtual system with our customers and suppliers by acting as seamless extensions of their operations. We offer customized, flexible and integrated supply chain solutions, supported by a global technology platform and a dedicated, market-focused team.

We are seeking an Operations Engineering Advisor based in our facility.

Responsibilities:

1.       Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Early Design Involvement (EDI) for Sheetmetal, Plastics, Castings, Heatsinks, etc.

2.       Manage new project (eg. Products about the 1U to 8U server/storage enclosures) with sounded project management skills.

3.       Failure Analysis (8D concept, fishbone chart & 5 whys) on issues and provide counter proposal and lead to resolution.

4.       Supplier audit with sounded quality system knowledge, i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001, …etc

5.       Visits suppliers to evaluate their process controls and reliability programs.

6.       Works with suppliers to improve overall yield of mechanical assemblies and quality of materials.

7.       Defines, evaluates and implements process control standards for mechanical parts or assemblies.

8.       Provides quality and reliability performance data to suppliers and internal management team.

9.       Performs supplier assessments/risk analysis and makes recommendation regarding supplier selection.

Requirements:

1.       Min. 8 years of experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing / Project Management.

2.       Deep technical knowledge in Sheet Metal Manufacturing / Tooling.

3.       In-depth knowledge of industry and quality standards and SPC methodologies.

4.       Good knowledge of sheet metal and plastic parts pricing.

5.       Excellent problem resolution skills.

6.       Good presentation, project management and computer skills.

7.       Strong knowledge of statistical process control methods and techniques.

8.       Ability to design tests, evaluate results and recommend solutions to improve the processes associated with mechanical part manufacturing.

9.       Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.

10.    Good communication in English.
