POSITION OVERVIEW

The Product Regulatory Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for all regulatory compliance for the H.B. Fuller’s business in China and other emerging market. Duties include preparation and maintenance of product safety documentation; food contact material regulatory compliance review and statement, regulatory agency reviews, and approvals for new products and new RMs; system maintenance. In this position the ability to collaborate and communicate across disciplines, functions and regions is highly valued.

PRIMARY DUTIES 

This individual will be involved in a variety of regulatory activities, including:

 

• Authoring (Material) Safety Data Sheets for customers using SAP and H.B. Fuller systems to meet GHS requirements.

• Classification and Labelling of finished products according to GHS regulation.

• Ensuring regulatory compliance of H.B.Fuller products according to the requirements of regulations.

• Liaising with the regulatory and product safety departments of strategic customers, studying their internal clearance processes, and delighting customers via personal and friendly regulatory support.

• Staying current with global regulatory trends on food contact material, GHS regulation, new chemical management regulation, and other related regulations to our business and in an effort to provide support to our business and customers.

• Seeking out and reporting as appropriate to business and technology teams on industry/government news (going beyond chemical regulatory and into world and application trends).

• Developing relationships with both AP and global regulatory colleagues and working together in a collaborative manner.

• Interpreting global regulations and determining how the regulations affect our raw materials, formulated materials, customer applications, and the product’s end use and take appropriate actions accordingly. 
• Innovating efficient processes to respond to customer support questions, quickly.
• Contributing as a member on one or more cross-functional teams. 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or above Degree in Science, Engineering or Health related field with a Chemistry or polymer chemistry foundation

• 2+ years’ experience in a technical/regulatory role with SDS authoring, product safety reviewing and/or other regulatory responsibilities

• Ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with all levels of management within a team environment on a variety of programs and projects.

• Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead projects or initiatives to a successful outcome.

• Well organized.  Able to work under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through.

• Language skill: Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking.
