Purpose

• Support the development and execution of the Country Air Freight Healthcare strategy to generate profitable healthcare related airfreight volumes
• Compile a business plan and market entry strategy to secure a structured development and investment into the Healthcare vertical
• Work closely with suppliers (e.g. airlines, packaging, etc.) and monitor their performance in alignment with local Healthcare Quality Responsible Person.

Main Tasks

Accountable

• For the economic performance and target achievement of the Air Freight Healthcare segment 
• Developing a strategy to build up volumes in respective healthcare segments (e.g. medical devices, biopharma, vaccines, etc.) 
• Supporting to grow a profitable & crisis resilient business to handle temperature-controlled products and non-temperature-controlled products from healthcare customers 
• Building up new healthcare accounts and develop existing customer portfolio regarding revenue, volume and margin contribution on specific lanes and within specific customer segments 
• Defining account specific pricing strategy and margin guidelines in close cooperation with the Sales and Key Account organization 
• Support Sales in Healthcare customer engagements as RFQs have a quality component that is binding & prerequisite for an award. 
• Identifying new product opportunities and value-added services based on market requirements for healthcare and temperature-controlled 
• Driving cost efficient structures and capacities in entities operating healthcare business       

Responsible 

• Describing processes and procedures for contract management in the field of healthcare and provide guidelines for reviewing unprofitable customers 
• Support training on GDP (Good Distribution Practice), temperature packaging & solutions as well as CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Action) management in coordination with the local Healthcare Quality Responsible Person 
• Manage processes (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, adherence to global standards, lane level risk assessment, exception & deviation management e.g. CAPA) 
• Monitor and steer the capacity procurement in close alignment with Operations & Procurement function (e.g. align with branches and on country level to support carrier procurement)

• Supporting operations and procurement with customer insights and prospects gained 
• Contributing to optimize cargo mix 
• Contributing to optimize maximum incentive payouts 
• Approving of service providers and subcontractors 
• Developing of standard operating procedures related to the healthcare segment
