·       Reviewing specification documents

·       Reading and interpreting datasheets to find out the features and requirements can be realized

·       Reviewing electronic designs during the initial development phase and identify potential issues

·       Troubleshooting problems detected during product development

·       Writing sample reports

·       Approving development and production documents according requirements

·       Supporting new product implementation and productions as well as conformity efforts

·       Managing and executing hardware validation (functional, electrical, EMC, thermal, etc.)

·       Communicating with 3rd party design houses

·       Work closely with ODM/OEMs to make sure that progress is made, issues are understood and solved timely and final product quality is achieved on time

·       Improving the integration of the Quality Assurance into the development process

·       Mentor other colleagues in the electronic engineering team as well as in the QA and software development team

·       BSEE with 7+ years of work experience and expert level in the electronic design and development of consumer products

·       Experience in guiding ODM/OEMs through all stages of product development

·       Experience with system-level design including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug

·       Experience leading and driving design development from schematic capture, PCB layout through assembly

• Experience with processor architecture, digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, I2S, etc.
• Experience with RF technologies such as WIFI, BT, etc.
• Experience partnering with software teams to define and implement firmware
• Deep understanding of how consumer electronic devices are built: system architecture, interdependencies of analog, digital electronics, and software
• Have a reliable “gut feeling” for impeding problems related to electronic development and proactive attitude of detecting and resolving them
• Good knowledge about component and production cost
• Solid knowledge about the available components, technologies, and electronic service providers, production processes, typical issues of (technical) negotiation processes with suppliers.
• Ability to work at a high number of projects in parallel, in a multi-disciplinary environment without losing orientation
• Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in dynamic environment
• Communicate with higher management team in good English
• Ability to travel up to 20% annually (both nationally and internationally)
• Strong communication and documentation skills and ability to operate autonomously
