Job Description

This Commodity Manager- ME/EM will be based in Shenzhen, China. Is responsible for formulating, communicating, and executing a sourcing strategy relative to their respective programs which consists of the suppliers, materials, and components necessary for sustaining production and NPI. The Manager leads supplier sourcing and selection activities and successfully manages the supplier relationship to ensure that the supply chain is capable of delivering high quality, cost effective materials that support production requirements. This role will work collaboratively with multiple business functions in a team environment and will be responsible for ME Sourcing team performance.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Managing overall supplier relationship including performance, capability development, capacity planning, contract negotiation and execution, risk identification and mitigation, cost reduction plan and quality improvement.
• Collaborating with technical operations, R&D, and program teams on supplier selection for NPI.
• Maintaining semi-annual Supplier Business Review scorecard and managing executive meetings.
• Build should cost models to validate commodity pricing strategies and to understand cost drivers.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience with supply chain, commodity, and supplier management in a global scale operation.
• 5+ years of experience working with global supply base of ME/EM contract manufacturers.
• Experience developing, leading, and executing global supplier cost negotiation strategies.

• Excellent analysis skill set with Excel
