About the role

The Site Merchandising Manager plans for short and long term deliverables, priorities and strategy. He/She need lead the team and collaborate across cross functional partners and outside partners to responsible for all digital assets and site merchandising activities.

What you'll do

1. Digital Assets Management: On time, efficient uploading of digital assets will result in an immediate, material top line and bottom-line lift.
  • Process manage 100% of digital asset creation and upload process across all Greater China platforms within 14 days of in DC date.
  • Define JAC asset creation needs for each seasonal flow
  • Ensure creation of JAC (local) digital assets
  • Manage flow completion, track, and push TP company to ensure on time completion
  • Fix non T-Mall channel's upload processes
  • Identify to standardize processes across platforms
  • Optimize photo shoot process

2. Site Merchandising: Improving site merchandising will result in an immediate P&L impact, will allow us to creatively manage our inventory where needed.


  • Transition site merchandising from eComm editorial team
  • Comprehensively understand current site merchandising tools and activities


  • Develop breakthrough content and execute meaningful site merchandising activities


  • Drive approval cycle for site merch content


  • Clearly articulate site merchandise strategies by season, by event, and day-to-day


  • Website optimization across all platforms


  • Envision what breakthrough, new to the world site merchandising tools and activities can be leverage to drive significant eCommerce growth


3. "Plug into" Corporate capabilities where relevant: Will establish a hard connection into the Company's total eCommerce organization which historically not been in place.

  • Identify which "must have" capabilities are going away to do organizational change
  • Understand what existing US based activities can be leverage for Greater China eCommerce.
  • Identify opportunities where China capability can be used Corporately

4. Envision the future: Allows for strong contribution for longer term eCommerce / Omni strategy setting.

  • Benchmark competitors' site merchandising activity

  • Articulate what GapTech infrastructure can be utilized to drive process efficiency (automation, centralization of required data)
  • Develop "plug and play" models to allow for fast eCommerce expansion where possible

Who you are

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Strong business acumen

  • Open minded and collaborative both internally and externally
  • Interested in digital/on-line world with hardworking attitude
  • Demonstrated logical analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Language: Fluency in English and Mandarin

Minimum Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Experience Required


  • 5-8 years+ experience in Ecommerce / Product / Merchandise or equivalent

  • Experience in fashion/apparel industry is must
