JOB OVERVIEW

Ensure the Company’s products are being developed, sourced, produced and delivered in time and with an emphasis on performance, quality, cost and sustainability. Work with product/design, fabric team, vendors and others for products creation, creates high quality products to meet the business requirement..

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Samples execution:

• Provide specifications for each style based on design sketches.
• Check all incoming samples and provide comments in fitting, technical workmanship and solutions to issues.
• Identify and resolve potential issues of samples together with HQ technicians.
• Keep good communication with garment suppliers to ensure they understand and follow our requirements for sampling, fitting, making and quality.
• Control sample develop progress to ensure all samples delivery is on time.
• Track the SMS delivery and maintain the record of shipping information in the tracking tool, for all destinations.
• Ensures product development is in accordance quality, performance, margin requirements and product calendar.

Monitor Vendor’s Performance:

• Co-ordinate with Brands and Production team to ensure allocation is according to the management’s strategic plan.
• Monitor Vendors performance on development’s KPIs and performance. Report to her/his manager in regular basis.
• Maintain close and appropriate relationship with all vendors and suppliers, as well as with all peers in both Asia and Headquarters.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Strong and proven products development experience in either buying offices or brands or production companies.
• Knowledge on Sourcing, manufacturing and costing.
• Fluent in speaking English. Good in written English.
• Japanese speaking will be a benefit.
• Good communication skill
• Teamwork spirit
• Proficiency with MS Office programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Professional education in apparel design, pattern making or working experience in garment production.
• Skill in pattern making and grading.
• 5 years’ experience in garment production, with factory experience is preferable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

•  Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.

•  Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.

• Travel domestically and internationally should be expected.
