Responsibilities
The Manager Security is chiefly responsible for the following areas: SECURITY PERSONNEL, RISK MANAGEMENT, PHYSICAL SECURITY, TRAINING AND AWARENESS, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT, and CRISIS RESPONSE. Other responsibilities may be assigned by company management as needed.
? SECURITY PERSONNEL: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of security personnel. Deploy security personnel in a professional and effective manner to ensure the security of company facilities. Continuously monitor and review performance of security personnel. Maintain and develop strong management practices to ensure effective guarding procedures. Incorporate best practices and respond to local trends and threats as needed.
? RISK MANAGEMENT: Recommend and implement cost effective security management systems, loss prevention, operational procedures, and internal controls in order to protect company personnel, assets, and intellectual property. Develop new methods and seek innovative programs to deter and detect criminal activities and reduce loss. Analyze loss trends for the identification of opportunities to strengthen internal processes and minimize risk.
? PHYSICAL SECURITY: Maintain and supervise use of physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, key control, and security infrastructure. Work directly with company Global Security, designated external vendors, and site management to review and implement changes to physical security systems and infrastructure as needed.
? TRAINING AND AWARENESS: Develop and administer security-related C-TPAT, loss prevention, and crisis awareness and training programs at the site. Conduct comprehensive training campaigns, work with other HR training professionals, and conduct regular training of security personnel, management, and employees.
? INCIDENT MANAGEMENT: Properly document and report all potential security incidents, threats, and crimes to site management and Global Security. Assist Global Security as needed in conducting internal investigations, audits, or enforcement actions.
? CRISIS RESPONSE: Respond in a timely and effective manner to crisis situations and emergencies.
Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree (minimum) or equivalent.
? Minimum 5-7 years corporate security or investigations management experience, preferably within a multinational organization or large domestic organization.
? Strong background in security risk assessments/security audits. Ability to identify security issues and develop and implement solutions.
? Familiarity with C-TPAT requirements and best practices is preferred.
? Strong communication skills. The candidate can review complex, detailed information and condense difficult issues into a clear, concise format.
? Interpersonal skills and the ability to manage teams of people. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
? Native-level Mandarin Chinese with strong written and verbal English communication skills. Working knowledge of Cantonese is preferable but not required.
? Knowledge of the MS Office suite is required.
? Candidates with professional security designations, such as Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Protection Professional qualifications, are encouraged to apply.
