Purchasing Specialist-Mobile Accessories

Job Goal

Constantly improving the cost-performance-ratio, ensuring on time delivery and the adherence to our product standards / requirements for the MA products supplied by suppliers of the purchaser's supplier pool.

Job Tasks
1. Purchase Order Handling: Overall responsible for the timely delivery of re-orders (<21 days) and new item orders (<28 days).

• Placing re-orders to the suppliers assigned to you (PO creation in the ERP system, sending to supplier along with all specs, documents, files, and info relevant to the supplier, entering the ETA in our kwNET system)
• Following up on the POs of your suppliers until delivery (updating the ETA if necessary, keeping an eye on the urgent, A+ and new items, uploading the packing lists into our system).
• Handle claims in case goods from the supplier do not meet the requirements.
• Checking invoices and PIs and arrange the corresponding payments.

2.Sourcing: Swift conversion of Category Management inquiries (Potential Products / Product Line Extension) for the product types and from the suppliers assigned to the PurMA into orders.

• Identify suitable suppliers for new potential products or product line extensions quickly, communicate the specs and requirements of new products to the suppliers and get quotations and samples for confirmation.
• Find suitable suppliers on the relevant platforms (like Alibaba, fairs, etc.), if our supplier pool cannot not provide and assess them.

• In coordination with the Category Manager in charge decide on supplier and convert inquiries to PO's (using the ERP) and place them to the supplier.
• Briefing of new suppliers on our standard operating procedures.
  
  

3.Ensuring a market-leading cost-performance-ratio for the products / suppliers assigned to the PurMA.

• Constantly re-negotiate the prices, payment terms, delivery terms and delivery time.

• Maintain a good relationship with the suppliers assigned to you and extract relevant info from them, e. g. market trends, product developments, etc.

4. Optimize the supplier pool performance by managing the supplier relationship and evaluation of the suppliers.

• Evaluate the supplier performance and take action to improve it.
• Monitor the product quality all suppliers assigned to you.
• Monitor and analyze the delivery times of suppliers and decide how to react upon overly long delivery times.

5. Getting the latest trends and knowing the industry standards, ways and means of production for our products and share it with our Category Management, Quality Management, and other related department.

• Gather information about the production methods, quality determinants, raw materials used for our products and by the suppliers assigned to you.
• Gather information on latest trends, new product developments, products available for new mobile phone models and share it with our Category Management.
• Visit fairs, process the information, and present the results to the Category Management.

WHAT WE EXPECT

• >3 years' experience in purchasing, mobile phone accessories or other consumer goods preferred
• Experience in supplier assessment and has good negotiation skill
• College above degree, with good English level
• Knowledge of international quality and product safety standards, purchasing process (RFQ, total cost, etc.) and problem solving / claim handling skills
• Knowledge of the MS Office products (especially Excel and Outlook), experience in using ERP-systems is a plus
• Accurate and precise, goal and result oriented. Assertiveness, staying on top of things / keeping track of many parallel orders and inquiries
• Good communication skills(external [suppliers], internal [logistics, QM], inter-cultural [Category Management])
