• Lead the direction of Concept Design Studio functions and Concept Design staff in providing high quality customized floor design and product design solutions for projects.

• Lead activities to inspire architects and designers with the creative design possibilities of company products – workshops, launches, presentations.

• Lead communication of the key company product messages internally and to the design community in coordination with marketing plans – presentations and media events.

• Work closely with Director Global Concept Design to communicate and implement Regional and Global Concept Design initiatives in line with Annual Operating Plan and 3-year Strategic Plans and provide regular feedback on progress.

• Work closely with Asia marketing Director (China) to align Concept Design activities with current Sales strategies and integrate into China Annual Operating Plan.

• Work closely with the Regional Sales Managers and Sales teams in the delivery and communication of design related knowledge and to create clarity on what we offer, how it’s differentiated and how to participate – participate in sales meetings.

• Identify opportunities and initiate local events and functions within the target community; support events organised by marketing, sales and dealer teams.

• Measure effectiveness of Studio activities and provide reporting analysis of results.

• Identify needs and provide opportunities for knowledge development and creative inspiration activities for Concept Designers.

• Actively build a local personal network of individual designers; develop local influence within the design community -- generating high quality opportunities for the sales teams.

• Oversee the quality and image of the Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai design studios within agreed budgets; regular update of systems, tools, samples & marketing collateral within the space to meet work needs.

• Provide a feedback channel for the [Product Stylist], on product and design trends in the local market place and coordinate feedback from regional markets.

• Represent China on all regularly scheduled monthly and quarterly design meetings.

• Coordinate annual appraisals for Concept Design staff with Regional Sales Managers.

• Recruit new design staff as required (explore internship possibilities).
