JOB FUNCTION:
Under supervision, the Sales Executive is primarily responsible for expanding existing accounts within new markets and growing client base within an established territory. This position sells UL’s products, systems, and/or services to clients in an assigned territory, industry, or accounts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*1. Promotes and sells a portfolio of services to existing accounts not managed by account management teams within new markets and grows clients base within an established territory.
*2. Identifies new accounts within assigned territory to promote and sell a portfolio of services directly to new clients within new markets.
*3. Creates sales plan based on G2M strategy and develops new accounts for UL functional safety and autonomy safety services. Utilizes CRM to create, monitor and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales pipeline focused on new accounts and new orders. Identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generating activities, including tradeshow attendance and coldcalling.
*4. Meet with prospects to identify and qualify their needs including understanding decision makers, internal relationships, key influencers, delivery timeframe, budget status, challenge and pain points, and competition status.
*5. Supports the development of sales presentations and presents to potential new clients following a disciplined consultative selling strategy that fully leverages the full portfolio of UL services.
*6. Provides value propositions to clients, handles complex objections, prepares quotes or reviews quotes prepared by others, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitment with little or no supervision.
*7. Meets or exceeds assigned sales target on a quarterly basis.
*8. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
*9. Collaborates globally with operation teams, commercial team, other functions within UL, remote (direct/indirect) sites, and business partners to ensure a synergistic, companywide approach to the customers
*10. Facilitates NDA, contract negotiations to achieve a win for both UL and customers.
*11. Performs other duties as directed
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in a related discipline or bachelor’s degree with technical sales experience, automotive engineering, E/E and computer science background is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience with a proven track record of success in automotive industry
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively across a globally diverse account
- General knowledge of company policies and sales processes.
- Demonstrated ability to execute projects to stated objectives.
- Has a general understanding of company’s products and services.
- Significant business travel and work outside of the office required.
