 JOB OVERVIEW

Ensure the Company’s products are being developed, sourced, produced and delivered in time and with an emphasis on performance, quality, cost and sustainability. Building a portfolio of mills and suppliers that are able to produce according to the company’s standards and support the product innovation. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible and manage development of fabric/trims and technology concept base on business segments and requirements including fabric data library maintenance and quality testing & approval
• Liaise and partner Product Management and Design to drive fabric innovation.
• Optimize business relationship with fabric/trims suppliers and ensure given development timeline and result is met.
• Optimize fabric/trims development process and drive efficiency.
• Responsible to maintain and optimize high quality standard of fabrics/trims throughout development and production phases and minimum quality risk.
• Responsible implementation of developed quality standards internally and externally.
• Liaise different functions and handling of quality problems and claims internally and externally.
• Assessment of quality result and initiation of improvement measures.
• Communication and interaction internally with all product functions; and as well external partners, fabric/trims and garment suppliers, lab testing laboratories…..etc.
• Participate product meeting.
• Support her/his manager and Brands for projects which relates to quality and development.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of nominated Mills/Trims suppliers.
• Review and resolve any operational issues and report to her/his manager as necessary.
• Inform business counterparts and her/his manager promptly in case of problems and work out solutions with suppliers in a timely manner.
• Travel is required (fabric inspection, sourcing, fairs, suppliers…..etc.)

  TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• excellent knowledge in fabric production processes
• excellent technical product knowledge
• excellent experience with assessing product quality and the capabilities of suppliers
• Fluent in speaking English. Good in written English.
• Korean speaking will be a benefit.
• Good knowledge of a product management tool
• Result oriented

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in fabric development or related job spec.
• Degree in textile design, textile engineering or product management.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable) 

• Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.

• Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.

• Travel domestically and internationally should be expected.
