PRIMARY FUNCTION

Achieves Target financial plans by partnering with Headquarter (HQ) counterparts, team, supervisor and suppliers through market / cost trend research, negotiations, data analysis to identify category / cost opportunities for final decision-making.  Manage supplier matrix, packaging production, sustainability, etc

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Owns personal development through continuous learning and improve knowledge and skills to do the job.  Proactively seeks new ways to do the job for speed.  

·       Handle projects and achieve goals with minimal guidance.

·       Fully understand Target spec and cost impacts of the assigned categories. Be familiar with Target PD&D calendar or T&A of each category and know the right time to start.

·       Review relevant sets of data or information and understand how they impact the immediate work.

·       Gather information from readily available sources and accurately assess its relevance to the task at hand, and take actions regarding relevant conclusions.

·       Synthesize, analyze and interpret data accurately using excel and appropriate tools. Analyze data received, coordinate and communicate cost opportunities with team, business partners, negotiate with related parties for the best pricing to meet our financial plan.  Ensures all objectives are met, including program T&A, pricing, sampling and styling details, forms and deadlines. 

·       Builds marketplace knowledge and expertise for data / category analysis.

·       Investigates category opportunities, market/industry trends and provides the information to manager/director / HQ to determine the best strategy and specifications for satisfaction of business requirements.

·       Provides Manager/Director and HQ counterparts with relevant information on assigned categories to ensure objectives are well executed including pricing, timing and other details. 

·       Assist to communicate final business award results to business partners, collect feedbacks and get agreements / contracts / documents signed back. 

·       Interact with cross functional teams.  Manage packaging suppliers’ performance,  train and coach them for compliance. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·       4 year University/College degree or equivalent in packaging or international trading.

·       6 - 8 years of experience in packaging supplier, trading, or sourcing area. 

·       Ability to research and apply market/trend information

·       Advanced knowledge of printing or substrates. Understand economic and raw material impacts to negotiation and packaging cost. 

·       Strong capability in data analysis and excellent communication skills in English and local office language, both written and verbal

·       Strong MS office skills and able to play with excel and use all relevant tools and systems

·       Knowledge of local / global trade, shipment and payment

·       Strong problem solving, negotiating, planning and organizational skills

·       Strong analytical thinking skills and holistic approach to understand & interpret data and reports, market trends and prepare reports.

·       Able to drive meetings effectively and strong presentation skills

·       Assertive with strong initiative

·       Committed to continuous learning

·       Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast paced environment
