Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Communicate and represent Cooper's position to OE customers.
2. Work with OE Sales to support OE activities in China.
3. Work closely with PCR Tire Development Engineers to understand overall service conditions and feedback on product performance, presentations and management updates.
4. Competitive analysis of competitors tire performance.
5. Frequent visit to each OE account to help maintain excellent working relationships.

Required Education and/or Experience

1. College Diploma (2-3 year) or University Degree (4-year) in Auto or Rubber Engineering, Mathematics, Technology, Science or Design – required
2. Minimum of 3-years of relevant experience in OE Development or tire engineering or in related industry – required
3. Functional knowledge of tire design or manufacturing processes – preferred
4. Familiar with APQP,FMEA,PPAP - required
5. Willingness on frequent business trip– required

Required Skills & Abilities

1. Multi-lingual: English & Mandarin with sound skills in reading, writing & speaking English
2. Good communication and technical documentation skills.
3. Proficiency with design of experiment methods with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
4. Functional understanding of quality systems and concepts
5. Must be detail oriented, self-starting, and must be able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
6. Proficiency with standard PC applications including: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.

Reporting Relationships

1. The PCR OE Engineer reports directly to the Manager, OE Engineering Group (CTR – Asia Pacific).
2. The PCR OE Engineer is the primary liaison between the Tire Applications Development Group (CTR – Asia Pacific) and the Asia-Pacific OE sales, Asia-Pacific Production Facilities.

Working Conditions

1. Primary work location will be based out of the Asian Technical Center, located in Shanghai, China.
2. This work is performed in an office environment, but will require working in production, laboratory, and warehouse facilities.
3. Travel is necessary and frequent to OE customers or production facilities.
