POSITION SUMMARY:

Rresponsible for trim suppliers and materials sourcing, development, duplication with good development skills and has quality mindset for relevant material end use.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

- Support the new material concepts and samples based on direction from design and merchandising for new season start trim presentation.

- Support all trim requests, coordinate and arrange the proto for salesman sample, trim approval and testing report.

- Contact daily with Europe trim team, trim suppliers for all trim research and follow up.

- Find and develop the right materials according to calendar timeline, target prices, sourcing policy, quality standards and material end use.

- Meet calendar deadlines to ensure that material developments and production are delivered on time.

- Risk assessment and precaution to ensure materials meet the brand specification and testing requirement.

- Maintain a physical and electronic record of material developments.

- Understand apparel calendar and integrate key fabric deadlines to meet trim buy cycles.

- Follow up and maintain good working relationships with PD, designers, trims suppliers, quality assurance, and other related counterparts in order to ensure performance.

- Actively research trim industry trade journals, seminars, and trade shows to be informed of emerging technologies, fibers, yarns, materials and methods.

- Contribute to material "buy ready" by achieving all milestones on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

-  At least 8 years' experience on relevant industry

- Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin

- Literate in Microsoft office programs

- Knowledge of PLM system is an advantage

- Occasional travel is required
