Field applications engineers are technical support engineers for sales and marketing at technology companies. A field application engineering job provides the opportunity to travel, work with engineers on leading edge designs and seal up design and product contracts. With this capacity, field application engineers are also critical to identify and resolve customers field technical problems.

Job Responsibility

1.       Assist customer to understand all products and perform demo for various field applications.

2.       Perform to identify issue and resolve problem by coordinating with R&D & manufacturing team including field troubleshooting & performing tests on bugs.

3.       Provide or seek for internal technical support to customer and configure services.

4.       Analyze customer requirement and ensure product meet customer requirements appropriately, as well as to recommend expert advice for same.

5.       Administer various field applications for customers and provide support to engineering software if applicable.

6.       Working with R&D to develop and determine various product features, perform tests and prepare documents for same.

7.       Participate in customer technical meetings and prepare training programs for internal subordinates.

8.       Manage and update database for customer information, if applicable.

Qualification/Requirements

1.       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related fields. 

2.       Working experience with good knowledge in Server Computing industry is must.

3.       Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

4.       Must be able to work and travel on weekends under critical situation. 

5.       More than 8 years of working experience, at least 3 to 5 years in FAE roles.

6.       Good written and verbal communication in both Chinese & English.

7.       Good communication and presentation skills.

8.       Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skill and ability to deal with people at all levels.

9.       Strong time management/multitasking skills.

10.    Collaborative, team oriented, and ability to work well with cross-functional development teams.

11.    Ability to build strong customer relationships.

12.    Demonstrated ability to interpret, document, and resolve customer technical issues. 

13.    Basic understanding of networking, both logical and physical layout.

14.    Experience with embedded software experience and Linux command lines will be preferred.
