职位描述
Based at: our China design studio, loated in Gao Ming, Fo Shan City
Reports to: Project Manager & CAD Team Manager or her assignee
Purpose of Role: Responsible for initial source selection and purchasing activities; as well as coordination from concept to delivery of projects
工作地点：佛山高明，五天工作制，免费提供供食宿, 公司提供周一及周五从广州、深圳、东莞等各地往返高明的接送班车）
Essential skills
- 5 years sourcing and project management experience with increasing responsibility, global experience preferred
- Capability of following a project from initial design stages through to its completion
- Ability to work using their own initiative
- Organized, self-motivated and team player
- Developed and tracked budgets previously
- Effective decision making skills
- Proven record of excellent communication skills
- Proven record in contract negotiation
- Excellent organisation and prioritization skills
- Outstanding written and spoken English & Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
- Ability to demonstrate previous sourcing and project management success
- Bachelors in Business Administration and/or English
- Experience in the home furnishings or design industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, outlook and ability to understand floor plans, product drawings and mud maps (understanding of Sketch up and CAD beneficial)
Responsibilities
Material; component & specialist product sourcing:
- Identifying suppliers with international standards
- Purchasing selected samples
- Negotiating pricing, terms and delivery schedules
- special materials, and bulk order for all projects; set up supplier information & record sourcing files in a very systematic way
- Recommending and obtaining sign-off from designers of items with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness
- Securing and analysing quotations
- Obtaining sign-off of all quotations prior to ordering
Product and material development:
- Identifying suppliers with international standards and maintaining relationships with current suppliers
- Review and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Costing - able to work closely with each supplier and workshops from sampling to costing
- Negotiation of cost of product to ensure competitiveness and meeting margin requirements without losing quality
- Supporting the CAD design team with material and product sampling prior to designer sign-off
- Supporting the CAD design team with production, manging drawings, schedules and specification documentation
- Ensuring coordination with suppliers on testing; quality checking and on-time delivery
- Providing final BOM to Project Manager and Designers to ensure client pricing is correct
General:
- Project manage from concept phase to completed approved instillation of projects; accountable and responsible for delivery of finalized product and materials to site on time and of highest quality & we go beyond client’s expectations
- Ensuring communication of timelines is maintained throughout project and flagging any potential delays to key designers and project manager
- Supporting the designers to ensure they produce sophisticated and on brand material and fabric palettes
- Daily communication with Project Managers, Designer Account Management and Shipping Team for orders follow up & shipment coordination
- Set up products or material code with GPDB team and updating to reflect when there are changes to specifications
- Project/ product document maintenance

Before that, the store had relied on a painted truck which rolled around between old estates picking up exquisite examples of craftsmanship to on sell to interested buyers.
With interest coming from overseas, in 2004, Timothy Oulton, the Major’s son established the international arm of the business in Hong Kong, Halo Asia, to support expanding worldwide distribution. Gathering unique materials and craftsmanship skills, the workshops began the production of hand finished vintage inspired leathers, upholstery and cabinetry collections.
In 2010 Halo Touch was established, embarking on a journey to further evolve the unique hand finished vintage leather collection.
In 2013, Timothy Oulton opened its Harrods store in London, signaling the beginning of a worldwide expansion that continues today. That same year, Halo Est 1976 was launched in the UK, offering a timeless collection of handcrafted furniture and lighting distributed through a global wholesale network.
In 2016, Halo launched Timothy Oulton Studio, a bespoke interiors and construction design studio specializing in hospitality projects. Notable projects include members’ club 1880 in Singapore, and Gough’s on Gough in Hong Kong, the first restaurant by Timothy Oulton, which opened in 2017.
Today, Halo Creative and Design continues to actively design new product ranges and enter new categories and is proud to count among its customers some of the world’s best brands and retailers.
