 Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager

Based at: Foshan Gaoming（工作地点：佛山高明，五天工作制，免费提供供食宿, 公司提供周一及周五从广州、深圳、东莞等各地往返高明的接送班车）

Responsible to: Financial Controller

 

Essential Skills

·         University degree in Finance and/or Accounting

·         Qualified Accountant with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with consolidation operation in trading industry

·         Excellent leadership with at least 5+ years in managerial position

·         Excellent English, fluent Cantonese and Mandarin would be a plus

·         Advanced levels of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel & Word)

·         Hands on experience with ERP system

·         Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and multiple tasks

         Strong analytical mindset, result oriented, proactive attitude and high commitment

Responsibilities – General

Primary

·         Lead a sizable team to ensure timely and accurate finance reports. After rational review, you will be responsible for consolidation of group company with more than ten subsidiaries located in various areas and countries.

·         Ensure efficient and smooth month end closing of the assigned companies, incl. management accounts and statutory packs.  Provide commentary on the monthly financial statement items and highlight those with big fluctuation which require management attention. 

·         Trace and Clean up long-aging items (e.g. inter-company transactions)

·         Be Responsible for group company’s year-end audit, tax filing, and other statutory requirements for the assigned companies (registered in HK, China, Netherlands, and Turkey etc.)

·         Liaise closely with other departments, assist in developing and executing new financial policies, internal control and procedures.  E.g. work closely with Ops and Logistic team to improve stock transparency and accuracy

·         Support ERP system implementation and continuous improvement 

Secondary

1.       Review existing financial controls and make recommendations on process control, authorization matrix, etc.

2.        Assist in preparing Annual Operating Plan & Budget for the Group, focusing on wholesale business

3.        Ensure monthly functional reports are sent out timely, arrange monthly meeting with budget owners to discuss forecast spending for coming 3 months and YTG

4.       Perform ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned

Key Performance Areas

·         Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of the daily accounting transactions and monthly financial statements of those companies assigned

·         Ensure year end audit are carried out in timely and organized matters, and audited accounts signed by tax deadline

·         Ensure month end / quarter end closing procedures are properly carried out incl. but not limited to: i) reconciliation of physical stock take with Finance records, ii) review and cleaning of all balance sheet items, iii) monthly review of overheads with various budget owner

Improvement in daily accounting controls and leading to few issues to be resolved during month end which delay our closing schedule

Halo is a global furniture company. It established in 1976 in the United Kingdom by Major Philip Oulton, Halo started as an antiques store in Hale, England. Halo Antiques. Before that, the store had relied on a painted truck which rolled around between old estates picking up exquisite examples of craftsmanship to on sell to interested buyers.

In 2016, Halo launched Timothy Oulton Studio, a bespoke interiors and construction design studio specializing in hospitality projects. Notable projects include members’ club 1880 in Singapore, and Gough’s on Gough in Hong Kong, the first restaurant by Timothy Oulton, which opened in 2017.
