Position: Business Manager – Factory Services (Asia)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow SATRA’s factory services business in China and SE Asia
• Undertake factory audits and evaluations to standards focused on technical capabilities, production efficiency and overall factory management.
• Provide advice and solutions to improve efficiencies or close audit non compliances.
• Provide training to member companies in areas such as factory production management, implementation of new technologies, production efficiency and technical audit compliance. Along with SATRA’s existing systems such as leather grading, cutting, VisionStitch, SATRASumm.
• Recruitment and management of factory services team as business grows.
• Uphold SATRA’s reputation as a valued and trusted technical partner for the entire footwear supply chain
• Assist with the development of factory evaluation and production services to include chemical management, environmental audits, supply chain mapping and evaluation.
• Promotion of the SATRA brand and services.

Competencies (Leadership, Behavioural and Technical), Knowledge (Qualifications) and Experience required:

Essential:

• Hands-on leader with 10 years minimum experience in senior footwear factory management or working with a 3rd party factory production efficiency and quality evaluation company.
• Good networking skills and commercial acumen
• Ambitious and self-motivated
• Experience of footwear manufacturing processes
• Experience in training factory workers
• Excellent communication skills to allow communication at all levels within a factory environment.
• Good organisation and planning skills
• Ability to travel within China and Asia
• Ability to speak and write English effectively

Desirable:

• Experience in a factory auditing capacity – efficiency, environmental, technical.
