What We Do (Accountabilities)  

• Assures oversight of general accounting activities for all sourcing and trading legal entities conducted out of several offices in Asia and Ethiopia

• Assures execution to defined financial internal controls (ICTs)

• Assures accurate and timely monthly financial close and reporting for all entities in partnership with US accounting team

• Assures effective execution of tax, audit, cash management and banking activities and company secretarial matters as well as relationships in partnership with US treasury team

     

Essential Functions of the Role

Supervise all accounting personnel located in our PAA offices.

Monitor all financial accounting activities to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, in the proper period, and that appropriate internal controls are followed.

Perform monthly accounting close in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all significant variances to forecast and budget are understood and properly communicated.

Partner with US accounting leadership to ensure activities are aligned with global practices.

Manage PAA activities and relationships with external audit, legal and bank partners to ensure optimal results and compliance with various laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Appropriate Accounting or Finance certification(s)

• Above 12-years related working experience

• 7 years previous Supervisor role

• Communicates well up and down the organization

• Strong partnering, problem solving, and analytical skills

• Good organization skills

• Strong SAP FI, BPC and BI skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

• Fluent English is a must
