Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering strategies to be in line with business development needs. Execute key initiatives to support business growth and customer needs.

• Identify and document regional product and compliance gaps.

• Define and execute engineering initiatives with regional and global scope.

• Support regulatory projects and initiatives for Asian market place, China in particular.

• Support sales organization with product demonstrations and troubleshooting of complex customer installation.

• Manage engineering team for the development of commercial D&A products. Ensure all types of R&D projects will be properly resourced, executed on a timely fashion and within budget, and follow Carrier’s engineering processes and policies.

• Follow company rules including product development process, design rules, and drive strong program management capabilities, and cross-team cooperation.

• Identify, coach and retain engineering talent, and develop engineering capabilities. Foster innovative environment for engineering team and lead technology innovations

• Other short-term or long-term projects or responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor(s).

 

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor and above degrees in engineering majors like electronics, mechanical or computer engineering is required

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience and at least 5 years in a managerial position.

• Experience in the consumer electronics or fire detection and alarm industry is required.

• Ability to lead projects with team members in multiple locations globally. Strong communication skills are required.

•  Fluent in English and Chinese (written &oral).
