Responsibility:

• Liaise with the Buyer and Designer in order to confirm receipt of design pack and to provide and agree a target due date for the sample
• Work closely with the Design, Product Development and Fabric & Trim Sourcing teams to ensure the development and production of buying samples which are commercially acceptable to Next
• Work with factory to present alternatives to both buyers and management
• Handle costing analysis and prepare quotations for designated styles
• Manage and follow up with production line to ensure the product quality and ensure timely delivery are met our requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Diploma in Clothing / textiles / fabric studies or above
• Around 5 years merchandising experience in footwear
• Familiar with UK garment market is advantageous
• Knowledge & experience in footwear product is a must
• Good command of written and spoken English, good computer knowledge
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, responsible, decisive working style and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
