Job Purpose

The ICT Manager must have a deep and broad knowledge of Windows Server Platform and networks. S/He will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting ILA school cloud based server systems.(Azure, AWS, AliCloud etc) & Cisco networking.

IT manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of ILA School ICT systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our school’s ICT needs.

The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of education’s best practice processes.

Responsibilities

1. At the construction phase before August 2020, set up the ICT systems and networks required to support the school’s academic and administrative functions, and its stakeholders like staff, students and parents.

2. On an ongoing basis, ensure that ICT services and functions provided are reliable and secure, and particularly, the security and safe keeping of the school’s confidential information and data stored in the school’s ICT systems.

3. Ensure appropriate and acceptable use of the school’s network and compliance to the school’s data retention and management policy.

4. Develop and implement an annual ICT operation plan within the budget allocated and manage key projects and upgrades for the year.

5. Manage our in-house ICT staff and/or insourced/outsourced staff from service providers, and ensure the proper prioritization and allocation of tasks to members of the team.

6. Liaise and manage suppliers of academic and non-academic services, systems and software.

7. Training of academic and non-academic users of ICT to:

· Ensure effective use of the school’s ICT facilities in teaching, learning and administration;

· Assist with staff induction;

· Advise the Head Master and Governors on developments in ICT.

8. Cooperate and collaborate with Group ICT leadership to develop and execute group wide ICT

strategy and to deploy and promote the use of technology in learning.

9. Develop and maintain working relationships with other Harrow & HILA Schools to

facilitate experience sharing and learning within the group.

Requirements

1. University graduate in Computer Science or equivalent.

2. Minimum 10 years working experience in the ICT field with at least 5 years of experience as

an IT manager or ICT manager. Experience in managing education systems and networks or

managing the ICT department of a school is highly preferred.

3. A wide range of IT and networking knowledge with experience in managing Windows based

environments and implementation of cloud services preferred.

4. Good written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential.

5. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills is an advantage.

6. Strong organization skills and business acumen.
