Key challenges:
•Maintaining a good supply market knowledge, products, cost information to provide a good support to the business with the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) for a product, whilst having good relationship with the suppliers to ensure both product creation and operational excellence are achieved.
•Managing the performance of suppliers to ensure supply bases meet the expectation stipulated in the GSRS, namely Quality, Delivery, Price, Support and Innovation.
•Support the growth of the Business Categories by managing and introducing supply bases for innovative products and solutions offerings at the quickest possible time to market and the most competitive pricing.
•Managing a cross-functional team (no direct influence in reporting/ppm) to drive improvement and new initiatives at suppliers.
Requirements:
•Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Engineering or other related discipline.
•Min 5 years’ initial purchasing and sourcing experience.
•In depth knowledge and understanding of relevant products with a strong sense of major component and industrial market trend.
•Experience in dealing with suppliers in Asia Pacific especially China.
•Confident to communicate with all levels/ different cultural backgrounds.
•Strong knowledge in project management would be an advantage.
•Market focus and strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills.
