This position is to support COMPANYs overall communication strategy development and implementation, continue enhance the profile and branding of COMPANY among audiences, and support the growth of COMPANY business in China.  He/she will work collaboratively with the leadership to communicate an COMPANY narrative that is consistent with the corporate brand but customized for China audiences.

Job Description

Work as Strategic Counsel and establish yearly PR Activity Pipeline.

Lead and execute internal and external communications initiatives in China, work collaboratively with the leadership to develop a strong organizational communications strategy that highlights and celebrates China’s growth trajectory, challenges, etc.

Work with the leadership to create and enhance COMPANY profile and overall brand among audiences. Ensure the COMPANY reputation as an ethical, reputable global agricultural sciences company is upheld and strengthened through communication strategies and consistent messaging.

Collaborate with stakeholders on enterprise-wide programs and initiatives, such as the company’s internet site, corporate branding activities, digital or social media activity, internal or external news coverage, etc.

Develop and manage appropriate media strategies, such as active liaison with members of target media, identify news angles, develop story angles, interview arrangements, craft media releases, and support COMPANY Corporate Communications with the handling of media enquiries.

Work with Global/APAC Communications to ensure China news and highlights are appropriately included in Global/AP related news channels.

Other adhoc communication related work.

Bachelor’s degree above, major in journalism, communications, MBA or a related discipline is preferred. 

At least 10 years of functional experience in communications or related field，company communications with external/internal communications experience is required. Experience working in a matrixed, large global organization a strong plus.

Working knowledge of new media and web/digital based technologies.

Strong writing and editing skills are a must. High level of teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Strong communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.

Tenacious and persuasive, but tactful.  Knows how to get things done, overcomes obstacles, but respects other’s point of view and position.  Agile and resilient—ability to thrive under pressure. Self-driven with a strong penchant for results.
