Research Support Engineers (Ph.D Graduates) – Base in Hong Kong (Cyberport)

    

Research support engineers at entry and intermediate level in different disciplines are required. The various disciplines include hybrid infrastructure, software development and data analytics.

    

    

In the hybrid infrastructure discipline, the candidates will design and implement hybrid IT infrastructure solution to support innovative use cases through implementing and integrating edge to cloud infrastructure solution from HPE and partners.

    

    

In the software development discipline, the candidates will design, develop and integrate software programs required for innovative use cases; also troubleshoot and debug software programs for software enhancements and its applications.

    

    

In the data analytics discipline, the candidates will apply big data technology and analytics tools to solve real-world big data problem.

    

    

Candidates with cross discipline background and interest will be preferred. In general, we look for candidates with one or more of the following attributes:

    

• Ph.D. graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent
• Passion in technology and enjoy hands-on implementation of hardware and software solution, systems integration and administration, software design and programming and data analysis
• Ability to effectively communicate product design with detailed approach and specifications
• Knowledge in cloud service tools and infrastructure
• Knowledge in various operating systems (Linux and Windows) environment deployment
• Knowledge in database & SQL concept
• Knowledge in programming languages such as Java and C#, Python, Scripting language etc
• Knowledge in advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning and AI
• Knowledge in mobile apps programming (iOS and Android)
• Knowledge in networking (e.g. TCP/IP) and communication technologies
• Knowledge in software unit testing
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Break problems into manageable pieces and follow an organized approach to resolve them
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and also in a team
