Job description
The Pure Systems Tiger Consultative Sales rep will be responsible for execution of the STG PureSystems market strategy.
Their primary responsibility is to achieve the revenue quota objectives assigned for the PureSystems family of offerings.
Selling skills required.. ability to:
Evangelize an emerging product line.
Work aggressively with a competitive solution selling hunter mentality
Call on C-level and a data center executives and decision makers
Progress and close complex integrated solutions.
Lead or assist in competitive sales engagements
Effectively communicate IBM's differentiated value prop for expert integrated systems.
Solution / Technology skills required
Systems Management, Virtualization, Networking, Cloud
Integrated Solutions- Cisco UCS, VCE V-Block, HP, Dell, IBM PureSystems
Systems - Servers (x86, UNIX), Storage, Networking
The individual will be required to understand client IT environments, strategies, and pain points. To develop a strong
understanding of IBM PureSystems. To lead account / opportunity planning for PureSystems with the cross-IBM Account
teams for their territories. To apply IBM's leading edge expert integrated solutions to alleviate IT issues to reduce time to
market, reduce IT systems management cost, increase IT utilization, and provide an ideal platform for new applications and
cloud based services.
They will provide leadership, expertise and execution around product capabilities, and versus the competition with respect to
other IBM sellers and with the clients. They will pro-actively partner with ISVs and SIs relevant in their clients, and team with
IBM BPs in their territories.
They will apply sales tools to progress deals including briefings, demos, white boarding, TCO profiling, Proofs of Technology,
and Loaners/Trials.
Experience required
1.7+ years experience selling IT system solutions (L4 - 5 skill set)
2.Skilled in Solution Selling
3.Skilled in Competitive selling; hunter mentality
4.Able to evangelize a new category of computing
5.Knowledgeable of
Systems Management, Virtualization, Networking, Cloud
x86, UNIX, Storage
VCE, Cisco UCS, HP, Dell (Hitachi, Fujitsu, NEC)
6.Ability to position complex solutions at senior IT and CxO level, including
Business value
Technical value
Data Center Virtualization, NG Data Center, Cloud, VDI, RISC Migration, SAP
ERP and HANA
7.Ability to own and close complex integrated solutions
8.Field experience selling with solutions partners such as ISVs and SIs .
9.Ability to execute directly and through Channel Partners
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 7 years experience in experience selling IT system solutions
