Tasks:

 

As a Colour, Material, and Finish Designer at the Teufel Technical Execution team you will be responsible that definition of colour, material and finish for future Teufel products and accessories will be executed precisely at our suppliers. You will be a part of a team that creates and execute world class products in terms of form, function and sound. You will be involved in the execution aspects of the CMF design process. This includes reviewing the CMF documentation, supporting the suppliers in the execution of final colour, materials and finishes during sample development and production, material definition and colour evaluation. Success as a CMF Designer at Teufel requires a demonstrated ability to collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation into production. As a contributing member of our Team, you hold superior standards for quality and attention to detail, have a keen eye for sophisticated design, build strong

relationships with other team members and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Study, understand and comment CMF documents and ensure stakeholders commit to requirements.

• Guide design execution of colours, materials, and finishes for both prototype and production products.

• Manage design intent through colour tuning and material mastering all commodities.

• Review samples and write design reports.

• Guide suppliers towards the specified CMF for each of the parts in mass production.

• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers. Includes identifying new suppliers for materials to ensure innovative designs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Textile Design, Colour and Material Design, or the equivalent in professional experience with evidence of exceptional ability

• 5+ years of CMF experience in the consumer electronics space.

• Must have demonstrable technical knowledge of mass production, manufacturing processes, and materials.

• Know the supplier landscape and knows the processes how to get specified colours, materials and finishes into mass production.
