POSITION SUMMARY 
Purpose
 
This position is commercially accountable for the management and development of Package Gas Business in North and West China market.  A key focus will be to lead area sales team effectively, and achievement for package gas sales revenue and profit target in NWAP. The position has the additional responsibility to lead the Planning & Commitment (P&C) Process for package gas & leads business team transformation initiatives, also is responsible for the ongoing transformation of the business to create value, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize business processes to accomplish competitive advantage.
 
Nature and Scope
 
The role is the key to lead a 5~20 sales to continue our PG Strategy in the area, who shall be responsible for the area PG revenue and profit targets. This position requires well grounded technical, commercial, leadership and influencing skills to drive and develop the team needed to stay on course and within boundaries of low cost business structure.   It will also require creative approaches to problem solving necessary to operate as small business unit within a company business environment. 

The incumbent of him/her and his/her team will also be expected to:
  • Meet or exceed all relevant AP safety targets
  • Meet or exceed all relevant receivables targets
  • Contribute to the improvement of Customer Satisfaction, as measured by the regular PG & Merchant gas measurements.
  • Contribute to plans for new PG business development.
  • Contribute as a key member of package gas NWAP team.
  • Lead coordination with the China CSO, PG operations and distribution teams.
 
Direct Reporting to the job holder are: 5~20 sales Engineer.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 
This position is accountable for the following:
 
  • Develop the sales revenue and maintain the advantage position in the area;
  • Develop and expand sales team and train sales talents. No less than 80% of sales engineers must complete the sales new signing target;
  • Lead the sales team to maintain the customers in the responsible area, and the annual revenue target of Existing customers can not be less than 95%;
  • Individuals and teams must submit sales reports on time each day;
  • Execute business strategy and continue to enhance the PG Business Model. Maintain AP as the advantage position for the PG offer in Area by increasing density, marketing share, and profitability;
  • Directly lead the area sales team, indirect lead customer retention sales and work with company support function to achieve annual business target;
  • Manage the partner relationships – OEM and strategic customers, Key accounts;
  • Is accountable for the margin enhancement activities, maintain and improve the margin;
  • Adapts safe practices in every aspect of the workplace. Ensures compliance with all safety procedures, rules, and objectives. Incorporates safety-related responsibilities into employee job descriptions and evaluates performance against their objectives. Reports all negative safety-related observations.
  • Work with inside sales team and Supply Chain Execution Team to solve the dispute and improve the customer satisfaction to us. 
  • Work with inside sales team to handle the margin enhancement such as MTOP, PIP and delivery charge.
  • Leading the team defensive action when the competitors are approaching our existing accounts.
  • Collect feedback from customers and work with internal function such as inside sales, supply chain execution and CSL to improve the service to customers.
  • Cooperation with the NWAP PG, CryoEase, Liquid Bulk, H2,HE,Asset, Supply Chain & China CSO organizations, the incumbent should also have an extensive understanding of the gases business & associated commercial processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  1. Education
    1. College degree or University education (in business or technical area preferred) an engineering, finance, marketing and/or management discipline
  2. Work Experience
    1. At least 8 (8) years of progressive commercial experience in multinational companies.
    2. Experience in related electronics materials and rare gas business experience would be a strong plus
  3. Skills
    1. Sales, commercial, and negotiation skills
    2. Strong leadership and communications skills, Chinese (Mandarin) and listening and presentation abilities.
  4. Qualities
    1. Well developed influencing skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities.  Concise, strong, mature, and flexible.
    2. Leadership capabilities – disciplined, process oriented and can build a positive team environment.
