The product compliance manager will perform various functions in order to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory requirements or standards are met in the fields of decorative lighting, pools and inflatables and artificial Christmas trees, in countries around the world.

The core duties of this position include:
o Research and stay abreast of changes to regulatory and industry requirements or standards, and recommend actions required to maintain compliance of active products

o Communicate internally safety and compliance requirements relating to current products, new product categories, and expansion of sales to new regions

o Partake in product development projects to make certain that safety, regulatory, and agency requirements are recognized and satisfied in target markets

o Ensure that safety and compliance requirements are met in aspects of a product such as labeling, packaging artwork, and instruction booklets

o Maintain records to support safety and compliance

o Support the investigation and problem solving for safety or compliance issues

o Meet with regulators, participate in industry standard setting bodies, and testify in cases when necessary.


What You Will Bring:

Knowledge of the standards or regulations of key governmental and industry bodies is required, including, for example, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and UL and CE marking standards and processes.


Strong problem-solving and team work skills.


Minimum Education level: BS Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).


At least 5 years of work experience in a consumer product manufacturing, quality, product development or a test lab environment.


A passion for being part of the development and manufacturing of consumer products and customer service.


This position reports to the General Counsel. This position is based in Dongguan or alternatively in Hong Kong. Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
