Job Description:

    

Here is your chance to work for the Global Sourcing Office of largest New Zealand’s largest Home Improvement retailer called Mitre 10 NZ. Our ranges of products include hardware, kitchens and bathrooms, electrical supplies, appliances, housewares, storage, outdoor furnishings, heating, automotive, camping equipment, garden supplies, landscaping, timber, building and construction materials.

    

    

Key Duties will include:

  • Overall responsibility for supply chain team performance – You will be entirely responsible for the supply chain team’s work performance, this means working closely with our internal team including team in New Zealand, China and Vietnam to ensure all the process are running smoothly.
  • Being responsible for the delivery of the orders – This includes working closely with our forwarder and our manufacturers to ensure delivery is in full and on time (DIFOT) so to de-risking the supply chain.
  • Being responsible for order forecasting – This includes sharing with the key suppliers about sales status, inventory status and order demand in coming 6 months and getting progress.
  • Managing and improving supply chain system – You will be required to manage our order follow up system LIMA and engage with the team in HK to optimizing it with better function.
  • Running supply chain project – You will run the international supply chain project with forwarder and analyze the data and share with manager

                        

    

    

We are looking for someone with 5+ year’s previous experience in International supply chain. If you have previous experience working for another international logistic company or retailers sourcing office this is preferred.

    

    

You must have a high level of attention to detail, have an open mind, work well in a team environment, and work hard under pressure to overcome challenges when needed. You will be in regular contact with our team in New Zealand so writing and speaking at a high level confidently in English is required for this job.

    

    

    

    

    

    

Job Responsibilities:

    

1. Communicate and coordinate with relative parties to ensure smooth request-to-shipment execution for continuity items.

    

2. In charge of related shipping documents, hold accountability of the accuracy and timely submission.

    

3. Use system to track PO status, and update QC inspection date in system timely

    

4. Work with relative parties to resolve any production issues, quality issues, artwork issues occurred during QC inspections, to minimize impact on deliveries.

    

5. Follow up artwork renew for continuity items if needed.

    

6. In charge of DIFOT report, hold accountability for performance regarding continuity items.

    

7. In charge of various reports, sales performance report, inventory report, order forecast report…etc.

    

8. Other tasks assigned by your supervisor

    

9. Maintain strong business relationships with vendors. Evaluate vendors’ capability. Keep track of vendors’ performance.

    

10. Prefer to have working experience in logistics as well.

    

11. Strong sense of urgency, results orientated; excellent time management and organizational skills as well as communication skills.

    

12. Positive attitude and commitment.

    

    

    

    

Job Qualifications:

    

1. Bachelor qualification or above, major in international supply chain or related.

    

2. Speaking at a high level with confidence in English, is required for this job.

    

3. 5+ year’s previous experiences in International supply chain projects

    

4. 3+ year’s experiences of leading team (3-5 people)

    

5. Experiences of communications with overseas team

    

6. Product knowledge in similar retail product categories is preferred.

    

7. Engaging influential communication and negotiation skills, strong sense of urgency.

    

8. Must be able to manage project timelines independently.

    

9. Excellent team work and working well under pressure, positive attitude and commitment.

    

10. Familiar with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
