Main Responsibilities

Be familiar with textile/hard goods
Perform internal lab tests using company methods and tools
Initiate & follow up external lab tests
Follow company chemical test routine/mill audit/chemical project
Update "chemical fail list" every month and make sure all products from suppliers appearing on that list are tested
Use OFS for all registration and follow up of tests
Keep the lab equipment in good condition
Educate new colleagues in the chemical tests
Work closely with R&D team & Merchandiser team to analyze potential quality problems already in development stage
Support merchandiser team to solve quality problems which might occur during order follow up
Inform all office in case there are changes in company chemical restrictions
Cooperate closely with colleagues in the physical quality lab and the color technicians
Support CSR auditors concerning chemical issues
Support sourcing team to evaluate new suppliers, wash units, dyers etc.
Cooperate with chemical responsible and other offices
Educate suppliers on how to comply with chemical restrictions in the best way
Evaluate the suppliers including making chemical audits of dye mills, print houses, washing facilities etc.
Initiate meetings with supplier when a test has failed.

Main Requirements

more than 4 years related experiences
Quality conscious
Self driven and ambitious
Graduate from textile or technical school, preferably chemistry department or chemistry engineering department of university
Preferably experience in textile lab, dye house, print house, dye Stuff Company or similar position in supplier or representative office.
