Job summary

An exciting position with a successful US toy licensing and manufacturing company. JAZ TOYS ASIA is the Asia subsidiary of Jazwares, one of the largest toy companies in the USA and growing.

Toy Industry experience helpful but not a requirement.

A. Responsible for hard toys and soft toys creation:

- To create products & concepts that fulfill strategic objectives.

- To understand the key stakeholders and to communicate effectively with them on specific projects.

- Design to Cost / Brand / Schedule for single low complex item (meets milestones);

- Assist Showroom set up in Hong Kong and China

- Handle simple 3D modeling output and adjustment

B. Responsible for product development:

- To be able to deliver key assets as needed to fulfill the development process requirements.

- Instruct outside vendors to develop models.

- Understand the Jazwares development process, documents and relevant departments.

- To be able to work with cross functional team members to create designs that meet QA/QC and cost targets.

- Travel to factories or meet with factories and vendors to approve models and samples when required.

Minimum Requirement:

• 1 – 4 years relevant experience in toys industry, or in any related industry
• Degree holder in Toys/Industrial Design/Graphic Design or related disciplines
• Strong Sketching /Presentation Renderings /Control Drawings
• Creative, proactive and strong visual sense
• Basic modelling and usage of 3D software (3D digital or physical a nice to have but not required)
• Basic manufacturing material process theory
• Presentation and communication skills, especially in English language
• Strong ideation ability
• Basic working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator
• Good understanding of the retail requirements of all key customers and the competitive product set
• Can communicate to US Design Team / HK or China Team
• Good team player who is independent and self-motivated
