Senior Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is a major developer, designer and manufacturer of blowers, compressors, pumps and other high quality industrial equipment for sectors like environmental, automotive, chemical or electric power.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides the results of the internal assessment in terms of technical state of the art, considering strength and weak points of the current manufacturing operations, forecasting the next step about machines and assembly features life cycle (Leadership function)
  • Survey the technological status of the new plant, taking care of the alignment in terms of machining rules, assembly operations and materials knowledge, diffusing the same procedures and criteria (Leadership function)
  • In restructuring, leads the transfer of the technical knowledge (product specification, drawing and documentation) know how (process procedures, machines documentation and packaging) to guarantee the fast and effective ramp up in the new location (Leadership function)
  • Provides to the Program Manager the technical support in terms of the manufacturing process definition considering the releasing plant experience and the receiving plant current environment and possible next development (Leadership function)
  • Manages the sign off procedures that permit to validate the new/transferred production line and test facilities during the process validation milestone (Leadership function)
  • Diffuse common technical know-how between subsidiaries to guarantee continuity of technical improvement and communality in cost saving about production lines and manufacturing process optimization (Leadership function)
  • Leads the technical problem solving issues during the production ramp up, assuring assistance to the local plant manager in achieving the planned Quality and Manufacturing target (buy off, First time through) (Supporting function)
  • Prepares the local manufacturing budgets considering the necessary refurbishment of the moving production line and guarantees the respect of the financial targets set in the budget, during all the restructuring program (Supporting function)
  • Prepares the assembly devices specification considering the project rules and matching with the local reality of the supply chain (Supporting function)
  • Collaborates with Lean experts to apply the Lean mainstreams and in receiving plants (Supporting function)
  • Manages, with the people of the local Team, the "the Risks Analysis" and planning measures to contain/mitigate them (Supporting function)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required:

  • Technology expert with operational background, job practices, techniques, and standards Experiences done in medium and small size Industrial Companies, located around the world.
  • Advanced problem solving experience in order to develop solutions to production problems.
  • Advanced experience in Value Engineering, Coast for Function and Kaizen technicalities.

Education/Training Required:

  • Good level of combination of education and experience (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • University Degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering (Technical preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Microsoft Project included) and Lotus Notes.
  • Fluent in English, German very appreciated.
