KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    

1.    Provide leadership to the overall finance function and make sure the entire finance and accounting function is properly organized, staffed, developed, motivated, and compensated.

    

2.    In charge of accounting and reporting to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the financial data. 

    

3.    Solid understanding of domestic sales and export business including Customs, accounting and tax requirements.  Be the chief compliance officer of the BU. 

    

4.    This individual is responsible for the overall cash flow of the BU i.e. Work with other functional departments to ensure timely collection of receivables, obtain credit terms from suppliers, ensure banking facilities are fully utilized and we are in compliance with the covenants and work with other department heads to reduce the red inventory to an acceptable level.

    

5.    Be responsible for setting up the business analysis function.  Work closely and support senior management on business and strategic decision-making. Evaluate the P & L performance of the business. Provide effective operational analysis and strategic recommendation to support the business growth and expansion.

    

6.    Lead internal control and risk management process.  Implementation and maintenance of rigorous operational controls to comply with group policy and tax, accounting and Customs requirements.

    

7.    Prepare and implement budgeting system, monitor actual vs budget and work with BU senior management to identify issues and implement remediation plans.

    

8.    Serve as the primary interface with external auditors.  This person needs to ensure that all local/statutory tax and accounting requirements are met.

REQUIREMENTS:

    

1.     A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the finance function of an organization, of which at least 5 years must be in leading the finance function; Experience of finance controllership in manufacturing environment is highly desirable.  Excellent understanding of the China accounting principles, US GAAP, Customs and tax laws.

    

2.     Solid experience with re-export processes/tax/customs regulations. 

    

3.     Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.

    

4.     Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior executives in China. Capable of working with General Manager of business unit and maintaining clean and clear results and 100% compliance across company.  Able to get alignment on policy compliance.

    

5.     Excellent communicator in Chinese and English.

    

6.     Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player, able to manage stress properly and a great mentor to those around him/her especially during closing process.  Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

    

7.     Excellent computer skill etc.ERP system, MS Office, particularly Power Point, Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and emails.

    

8.     Team player and has the ability to train and develop the finance team to the next level.
