Mission for the GM of Dongguan

ATL Technology, LLC

Lead the transition to a regional customer support structure in which China supports Asian and European customers. Generate significant profitable growth in the Asia region to support this model. Lead the regional functions that support this effort including Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Finance, and Admin. Grow the capabilities of this plant and the team in support of ATL Technology’s customers in the target markets.

Deliverables:

1. Deliver strong P&L performance in China including increasing top line growth. While improving the current support of the ATL UT and ATL CR business, add focus to grow local (DG direct) customers by leveraging the business’s global OEM operating in Asia and Europe, and select China OEM customers. Develop customers and a local sales team to add $15 million of incremental recurring revenue by the end of year three. (This may include working with PRI as a business development partner.)

2. Regional leadership. Manage all regional government, supplier, and stakeholder relationships. Participate with the executive team so that they understand the regional business realities in support of strategic and tactical decisions and actions, and help communicate the corporate objectives and vision to the Dongguan team in a way that allow them to understand their role in the success of the company.

3. Build a high performing team focused on our objectives and lead through these functional leaders. Continuously assess and upgrade the team’s capabilities through development, training, and hiring the top leadership and technical talent who have the highest probability of success (including a top-grade Engineering Manager by the end of 2020).

4. Ensure a continuous improvement culture including through all levels of each function of the operation. This includes the employment of Lean and Six Sigma tools and principles to achieve continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and all other company objectives.

5. Lead the regional supply. Develop and execute a strategy that reduces risk regarding quality and delivery and, at the same time, reduce the purchase costs of goods and services. Support the Americas region supply chain strategy during the transition to locally source at least 70% of materials, components and equipment.

6. Support the Americas facilities in the development of extrusion and molding capabilities.

7. Use sound economic judgment in all capital decisions including employing automation and semi-automation in support of SQDC improvements.

8. Continuously review the capacity and capabilities of the operation to support the production requirements to meet the sales objectives. This includes all resources (human, material, equipment and plant).
