We are looking for a BRAND MANAGER for a world renowned wine glass from Europe that grace fine homes, hotels and restaurants across the globe.
THIS POSITION IS BASED IN SHANGHAI, CHINA.
As Brand Manager, you will look after all aspects of brand performance and advise management on strategies in brand positioning and marketing communication.?
You will drive delivery of brand strategy implementation, working with our creative director, senior business managers, local advertising agencies as well as internal marketing resource support on all creative ideas.
From time to time, you will need to fine-tune strategies for China, Hong Kong and Macau to be in sync with dynamic changes in the marketplace.
You will be the product trainer for the sales team, lead and coach on how best to communicate with key customers in the specifics of the brand in relations to competitions in the marketplace. ?
You must possess strong communication skills as well as the ability to influence cross-organizational teams in various localities in Asia, possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the China HoReCa sector, and be able to develop the right marketing strategy as well as tactical activities to maximize sales growth and profitability.?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop strategic direction for the brand, assuming full strategy in brand development and oversight, including innovative recommendations in expanding brand awareness, positioning as well as strategic market planning.
· Formulate brand marketing strategies into plans.
· Establish and achieve portfolio business objectives (volume, profit, market shares).
· Work with our General Managers, Creative Director, local advertising and creative agencies as well as internal support team in China and Hong Kong on execution plans.
· Be the product trainer for the sales team by having and sharing in-depth product knowledge of the brand.
· Coach the sales team on brand selling, and attend customer sales meetings if necessary.
· Work with the Finance team to manage all aspects of the portfolio P&L ensuring profit targets are met.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Strong interest and understanding of the Food and Wine industry.
· Bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in Business / Marketing.
· 2 to 3 years in brand marketing experience. Prior experience in the hotel industry in China is a definite asset.
· Thorough understanding of the China HoReCa sector, consumer's market and Asian culture.
· Proven track record of successfully managing a brand portfolio along with the ability to function in a hands-on role, effectively overseeing all strategy and execution aspects of marketing programs.
· Proven ability to identify new product opportunities in the market place.
· Must be hands-on, analytical, creative and detail oriented.
· Ability to work effectively with the analytics behind the portfolio.
· Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and executing on innovative, broad reaching brand marketing programs.
