Technical, Social and Ethical Auditing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Technical, Social and Ethical Auditing Manager, with commercial experience and a proven track record in both Ethical and Technical auditing and compliance management, working in our China office.

This role will involve:

As Auditing Manager, your primary focus is to manage new and current factories to ensure they can be able to achieve ethical and technical compliance ultimately throughout the ETI process and relevant customer technical requirements. Introduce and follow through the CAP. Working closely with your UK, HK and China colleagues you will be the principal contact for all factory audit queries in Asia.

In this role, you should have the following personal profile:

Factory Auditing:

· Develop strong relationships with suppliers and grow partnerships for the factory development process.

· Regularly visit factories in China and Taiwan to assess and report factory status in terms of quality systems and ethical compliance

· Using this data create a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) with accompanying timelines, which are realistic and achievable.

· Issue clear and detailed reports to HK and UK colleagues

· Must be able to demonstrate auditor professionalism, excellent report writing skills and interview techniques, as well as accurate data collection and analysis

· Demonstrate a proven track record of working closely with factories to develop an appropriate action plan or remediation programme and ensure their full understanding of the requirements

· Give substantial support to maintain a consistently good social and ethical compliance level, monitor progress, engage with factory management and workers and support improvements.

· Update Sedex regularly and offer help and training to the factories on the use of Sedex.

· Ensure that each supplier profile is up to date on Sedex including SAQ and CAP.

· Working closely with the UK office to ensure customer updates are available at all times.

· Evaluate new factories found with regard to appropriateness for Matrix business

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

· Good level of written and oral English and Mandarin.

· At least 5 years work experience as a CPI Certified CSR Lead auditor of factories.

· Have an excellent understanding of the full audit process and universal codes of conduct and National laws; including but not exclusive to, the ETI, ICTI and ILO Codes of Conduct and SMETA Methodology.

· Good knowledge and experience of factory quality systems.

· Good knowledge of ETI base code and ETI auditing.

· Excellent communication skills and problem solving.

· Superb organizer with a professional and mature manner.

· Strong commercial business insight.

· Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

· Work well within a team and can lead and inspire a team when necessary.

· Proactive and results orientated with the determination to see projects through from start to finish.

Desired Experience and Knowledge:

· Training to auditor level Quality Management

· ISO 9000 and ISO14000 systems training

· Experience in developing working hours and payment improvement plans.

· Experience in productivity-focused projects is desirable.
