Purpose of the job

As a product Manager for Mineral wool, you are responsible for delivering sustainable profitability to the company through MW product planning and management, this extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company.

You will build or improve MW products from existing ideas, and lead to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

You must always keep eyes on competitors in the market to understand their offering and strategy, and guide our sales team to win by driving product differentiation, specification and customer satisfaction.

You must be able to communicate and lead with all areas of the company. You will work with commercial team to define product requirements and initiate the business case. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and the promotion tools. You will also serve as the project leader for your product offering, lead and drive project to turn the idea into a product launch, and finally track and justify the business case.

Responsibilities

1. New Growth:

Lead the product development initiatives of the business in a matrix organization environment

Through use of market analytics, determine attractive market opportunities, prioritize and exploit these opportunities

Work closely with project manager (or act as a project manager) to develop new solutions for the market and/or integrate the product line into existing segments, from strategic planning to tactical activities

Work with product engineer and S&T or other functions to define product release requirements and working with Marketing Communication to define the promotional plans and communications strategy, and deliver it.

Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development allocations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.

Lead a product engineer to ensure the customer satisfaction of our new product through on-site service and installation guides.

2. Current Business:

Specifying market requirements for current and future products and services through understanding customers’ needs and how competitive products are positioned

Product life and product group management

Establish standard pricing policy to achieve CM target and execution

Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute

Delivering clearly differentiated solutions to a sales tool, and communicating their values effectively through marketing and sales teams, to customers and related stake holders.

Understanding the sales cycle and value chain to establish product strategy.

Lead and coach a product engineer to deal with different customer technical issues, not only to meet customer expectation, but also generate product insights by customer by segment.

Bridge customers and OC plants through product engineer, and ensure product relates issues can be on-time addressed.
