Key responsibilities
•Implement new and existing test methodologies for the evaluation of anti-biofilm and antimicrobial technologies, with a particular focus on the oral cavity.
•Develop new test in-vitro and in-vivo methodologies for hypothesis testing and active screening aligned to business need. Particular focus on the development of new antimicrobial and anti-biofilm treatments.
•Provide technical insights and expertise to identify new antimicrobial systems and insight into microbial physiology and metabolism.
•Strengthen science base to the support the relevant projects
•Build mechanistic understanding on modes of action, structure activity relationships and metabolic biomarkers and pathways relevant to improved microbial control.
•Build network with the key players in the area

Job Requirements:
•Ph.D. in biology is essential, preferably strengths in microbiology, oral microbiology, biofilm assays and or surface modification.
•Knowledge of interface between microbiology and materials surface structure and modification is desirable.
•Overseas educational or working experience is welcomed.
•Several years working experience in R&D of dental research, medical devices , relevant FMCG or pharmaceutical industry is welcomed.
•Good communication skills
•Networker, pro-active, self-motivated and strong entrepreneurial drive
•Able to build and expand technical capabilities
•Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English
