CSDL Lab Based Services (LBS) combines both solution delivery and service delivery in one integrated offering. Our mission is to support software selling by working closely with SWG sellers and services organizations such as GBS, GTS, and business partners, and deliver project excellence to make our products stick. LBS offers great opportunities and challenges for people at various stages of their careers and in different engineering disciplines. LBS is made up of a team of dedicated leader and technical contributors passionate about delivering the best software services including those related with product basics (Deployment/Customization, Problem determination, Trouble Shooting, Performance Tuning, etc.) and advanced technical services (Consulting, Business Analyzing, Architecture Design, Joint Application Development, Project Management, etc), as well as services using our technical assets and industry solution offerings.
Rational Lab Based Services Team is focused on providing customers value by consulting, education and support based on Rational methodology and products.
Job Responsibilities
This Solution Architect is responsible for transforming business goals from large, complex client's business needs into tailored IBM Rational Services Solutions (products and services) that will meet those needs over time in a measured way via a scheduled adoption of the solution. The Solution Architect is End-to-End solution based and should be able to work cross-brands to bring a solution forward for a client. They will work engagements from requirement solicitation (pre-purchase) through solution adoption (client value realization). The Solution Architect (SA) owns the following responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and guidance to Sellers and SMEs to ensure the services correct solution is being offered and delivered.
· Help drive services pre- & post-sales opportunities that help meet the ISSR Revenue Target.
· Support IMT Services Manger in the proposal development and delivery
· Support IMT Services Manger with the management of the local services practice
· Contribute to exceeding in-Quarter Signings Equivalent to 1.25x following-Quarter Revenue Target by leading the Solution Delivery.
· Achieve required Billable utilization among the Architect population within Solution Delivery
· Work with client to identify the requirements and stakeholder needs.
· Provide leadership to others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution and proving its value through ROI analyses.
· Have significant knowledge and capability in presenting the IBM Rational solution offerings to specific client business objectives/contexts.
· Identify business value and provide measurable results at all levels of an organization.
· Provide an extensive understanding of industry and technology trends, as well as of IBM strategy, and to apply that understanding to articulate a strategic vision which influences or guides clients and internally to influence IBM’s own product development.
· Collaborates with IBM industry, solution, or product developers to identify and incorporate appropriate technologies based on their customer insight allowing them to anticipate future customer trends.
· Lead assessments and business case (value proposition) development for new opportunities - own to obtain the necessary value proposition.
· Support teams and provide leadership in targeting, measuring, capturing and reporting solution delivery results
· Identify emerging skills that are needed and partner with Industry Solution Leaders to build a plan to build/acquire to meet needs.
· Provide leadership and complete the appropriate Upskilling programs.
· Promote IBM certifications to advance technical skills and brand Subject Matter Expertise.
· Obtain FOAK (first of a kind) skills required to meet customer needs with Rational Solution. Provide feedback to Upskilling Program on the necessary skill need
