Primary Function:

Under the instruction from commercial manager and strategic account manager, the Sales t directs and co-ordinates all activities between Dow and the nominated Architectural key accounts in Greater China. This role is also responsible for supporting account managers on multi level relationship between Dow and the strategic accounts. A major component of this position involves the identification and development of opportunities to expand existing business levels within the nominated accounts, as well as provide input to the technical and marketing teams and supply chain and commercial team on specific projects. The Sales Assistant support account managers delivers total client solutions with the help of commercial manager and strategic account managers, from product sales and advice, through to commercial servicing.

Major Job Responsibilities:
Work together with the team to participate in strategic accounts meetings to understand customers, demand and trends and customer needs/wants. Timely communicate critical information back to strategic account managers and commercial managers by email or phone calls.
Support account managers to collect and analyze competitors along dimensions that include: product portfolio, intellectual property position and strategy, growth initiatives, financial strength, market share, etc.
Write a monthly report to update commercial manager and strategic account managers on business monthly report and analysis of business vs plan.
Update demand forecast every month within target accuracy.
Work with Supply Chain to ensure customer satisfaction meets agreed targets with regard to In Full On Time (IFOT), complaint resolution, right first time and invoice accuracy.
Control AR and overdue within business target.
Co-ordinate the preparation of contract proposals and lead/conduct negotiations aimed at win/win conclusions with advice and consultation from the Commercial Manager and strategic account managers. Manage those contracts strictly as negotiated.
Supporting account managers for selling projects are being identified and input in the Planit+ System.
Obtain, evaluate and process forecasts for all nominated strategic accounts to meet the needs of the customers and to form part of the Sales & Operating Plan (S & OP) input.
Obtain, evaluate and process requests for samples. Manage their delivery, purpose, information transfer and feedback from customers.
Undertake any additional tasks required by Dow to meet the needs of the organization consistent with the responsibilities of strategic account managers and Commercial Manager.
Deal with customers, complaint and leading team to provide solution and satisfy customers.
Management of company travel and entertainment budget within guidelines.


Minimum Knowledge, Education and skill:
Bachelor degree, industrial coatings or relative industrial sales experience is preferable.
Strategic and creative thinker with excellent communication capabilities.
Demonstrated customer orientation with proven external endorsements.
Strong ability to influence peers and negotiate to achieve objectives.
Clear written and spoken skills in Chinese & English language skill.
Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimum direction but inclusive and sensitive to the outputs and the methods used to deliver outcomes.
Motivate and increase the competences of each account mangers
Establish customer intimacy, multiple level relationship with strategic customers
