Job description
The primary purpose of the SME/Dealmaker is to develop IBM business in the Semiconductor market. Responsibility for achieving revenue target and YTY growth. Is aligned with Brand Sales, S&D and Industry teams. Individual performs this function in such a way that builds value for the customer and facilitates opportunities for future sales. Sales will apply in-depth understanding of the processes in the Semiconductor operation.
Demonstrates strong business acumen, successful negotiation skills and strategic networking savvy to build and execute firm-wide strategies to meet overall revenue objectives.
Major Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Drives new revenue by identifying opportunities, initiating and/or participating in pre-sales calls, delivering customized presentations
Manages the complete sales cycle for the specialized product lines, including working with customers, prospects and the account team, from the prospecting stage through closing and implementation.
Identifies and analyzes underlying customer business and sales issues
Act as an expert solution consultant to the team IBM
Participates in lead generation activities
Build strong relationships with customers and create trust and confidence at multiple levels, including users, key contacts, managers and C-level executives, to increase revenue opportunities.
Required Skills:
Deep understanding of the HighTech (SemiConductor) Industry
Ability to discuss with LoB excutives the strategic and operational improvements
Capable to develop and maintain Executive level relationships
Education/Experience:
MSc or BSc required; or other advance degree preferred.
Five years or more of experience in sales or consulting in the information technology Industry related to semiconductor
Proven track record in shaping and closing deals
Ability to operate in the highly complex IBM organisation of brands, industry vertical, countries etc
At least 5 years experience in experience in sales or consulting in the information technology industry for the Semiconductor industry
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to achieve strong sales, revenue and growth goals.
Outstanding negotiation skills
Thorough knowledge and understanding of making a semiconductor company more successful.
Excellent presentation, writing and communications skills. Includes the ability to present complex solutions in a customer-facing environment in a communication style appropriate to the audience, which will include C-level executives.
High level of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple activities and reprioritize when necessary to ensure revenue goals is achieved.
