   General Description

• The role is responsible for the management of projects, typically involving the development and implementation of IT solutions to satisfy business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

• Provides administrative project assistance for project management processes, e.g. by providing decision support, applying project management tools and methods, data gathering concerning project progress, providing reports and supporting the preparation of management decision papers.

• Manages and identifies short and long-term project resource requirements, provides transparency on available resources and actively conducts an adequate staffing of projects.

Specific Accountabilities 

• Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of projects

• Plans and monitors the progress of the project against the base-lined project plans

• Manage the overall configuration of the project in alignment with project governance framework – to ensure that project controls (budgets and resources), change control, risk management and testing processes etc. are maintained

• Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off

• Provides expertise and guidance for project delivery and motivate teams to meet their objectives
