GENERAL SUMMARY:
Hindsight the differentiation of market: Hongkong, Mainland and Ecommerce. Pilot the template and tools to merchandise planning function pre-season. Provide analysis by market to support business decision strategically in-season. Develop, execute and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of one or more Divisions. Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability.
Language: Fluency in English is a must and Mandarin preferred..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. OPERATIONS/FINANCIAL:
· Manage the financial success of multiple Divisions by meeting sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and inventory turn goals.
· Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by Market, Division and Department.
· Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and business opportunities by Market, Division and Department.
· Create pre-season tools to hindsight sales, gm, and inventory plans by Market, Division, Department and class that support product strategies.
· Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan, and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis of HK Market.
· Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals. Recommend optimized market breakdown based on latest sales trend, mainland vs. Hongkong.
· sales and inventory thatDevelop and communicate Division level markdown recommendations and strategies of HK Market.
· Manage the above responsibilities with minimum direction from the manager.
2. COMMUNICATION:
· Present the market differentiation of financial plans, trend and strategies in key meetings.
3. PEOPLE LEADERSHIP/RELATIONSHIPS:
· Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team.
· Provide manager with timely feedback on personal developmental and training needs.
· Actively participate in new hire training and assist in peer development (P&D training, RMP).
· May act as a buddy to multiple new hires.
· Will be expected to be a buddy for the new hires unless he/she already has more than 2 new hires/trainees in his/her charge.
· Collaborate with peers and advise analysts and new hires to ensure consistency of information, share best-practices and develop systems knowledge.
· May manage and support the career development process of one or more Planners/Planning Analysts to ensure job satisfaction, retention and foster rapid skill development and performance improvement.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional team (merchandising, distribution, visual, production, planning, company planning).
· Prioritize and set expectations around key deliverables with cross-functional team and peers.
· Develop cross-divisional relationships to share best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Able to negotiate with and influence peers and members of cross-functional team
· Able to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
· Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
· Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
· Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
· Able to formally present business strategies and action plans
· Demonstrates logical analysis and problem solving skills
· Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurements which could include; sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI), weeks on hand (WOH), weeks of supply (WOS), etc. and how to impact them
· Facility with personal computers, including the ability or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel
· Language: Fluency in English is a must and Mandarin preferred.
2. Minimum educational level:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
3. Previous experience desired:
1-2 years experience as a Planner or equivalent
1-3 years of retail buying, planning or related analytical experience
4. Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to operate a computer
Proficient in Excel, Access knowledge a plus
· Willingness to travel overseas
